A Note from Our Founder

Hi I’m Britt. I’m a mom of three and a cognitive architect. I’ve spent twelve years studying neurodivergence, how the brain learns, and the childhood development behaviors that grow out of neurodivergent traits, and I build cognitive architecture from that research. Along the way I realized that while the modern school system is an incredible resource for society it was originally designed for a world of compliance rather than curiosity.

Thinking is a skill that must be sharpened through logic and reasoning. We aren’t just here to build students who can pass a test; we are here to build humans who can solve the global challenges we could not. Through my research I have seen that neurodivergence is not a failure in a child’s operating system. Whether it is ADHD, Dyslexia or Autism these are features of a brain that is simply designed to process information differently. I think of these differences like a specialized video game bonus pack that offers unique advantages if the environment is right. I built Luminari to cultivate an experience where your child can learn exactly the way their brain was designed to do. When we stop trying to fix the bug and start fueling the feature we see a spark in confidence that leads to the restoration of genuine intellectual thinking.

Every part of Luminari is entirely human verified. I have personally curated our curriculum library and your designated human advocates will personally see to everything else. Our team of educators & therapist are committed to helping you curate your child’s journey. Families in high risk homeschooling states like New York, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts will have access to special High-Risk advocates & our ESA clients will meet directly with our ESA Compliance Staff.

I believe school choice is a privilege that should be accessible to every family. Our mission is rooted in a humanitarian philosophy that treats every child as an individual rather than a data point. We help make a world class education accessible, and in approved states our families attend with $0 out of pocket through state funding, so every child receives the best education the world has to offer.
